Police Covering Up Tiger Woods Car Accident?

tiger_woods

Okay, before the Tiger Wood’s fans get upset or disturbed about the title of this blog post, I would like to make a statement first. I was not there at the Tiger Wood’s accident scene and have no idea on what Tiger’s condition was and how the police handled this auto accident. However, I am disturbed about a few things that the media is reporting right now and if these things are true, I wonder if a police cover up is in the process?

Tiger Woods is a great golfer and he is the man to beat on the PGA circuit. His fame as a golfer and legendary status does allow amateurs like myself to question his ethics or weaknesses. It’s hard to find a weakness when it comes to Tiger Woods and for the most part I do think he is great for golf,  great for the state of Florida, and great for the country of America. If he has done something wrong, it does need to be told, so we can learn from his mistakes.

Things don’t add up in the Tiger Wood’s car accident. Reports say he has busted lips and drifting in and out of consciousness. This condition doesn’t sound likely for a breath-alyzer test in which police could determine if alcohol was present in Mr. Woods. Police have already said that alcohol isn’t to blame in this accident and makes me wonder how they know this? Perhaps they took blood from him in the hospital visit he made shortly after the accident. This could prove the alcohol part of the story and I am pretty sure this is what police is basing their opinions on. It would seem that some other sort of anxiety or depression drug would show up in that blood. The blood is probably being sent to the crime lab for further analysis and they may determine later that Tiger Woods did have a drug in his system. In order for this part of the story to be correct, officials would need a sample of his blood and I am not sure if they have this or not.

I find it strange that Wood’s attorney is already involved in this car accident case. I think this is another sign of guilt and something that makes Tiger appear as if he did break the law in some manner. He will receive the normal fines and punishments for his car wreck, since this was a one car accident. A charge like failure to maintain lane is popular in car wrecks and I do think Tiger will get charged with this. Not a serious driving offense and he will keep his driver’s license and pay a fine of $100 or less for a failure to maintain lane charge.

I do believe drugs were involve since he was going in and out of consciousness. A severe blow to the head could cause this condition, but this would be considered a serious car accident. Police did state it was serious, but later we find out that the accident was not a serious one. If you lose consciousness from a car accident then an over night stay in the hospital or the “serious” label would stick and this is not happening. It seems like the time it took for the drugs to clear his system is all the time Tiger needed to make a full recovery.

xanax

I don’t think Tiger Woods was taking any illegal drugs. His symptoms and the condition he was in sounds like a prescription drug case and there are several things that Tiger could have been taking. A drug like xanax or the generic name alprazolam would seem like the drug class that would fit the details of Tiger Wood’s car accident. It is illegal to drive on this drug and even if he has a prescription in his name, this would still work like a DUI (driving under the influence). Obviously this is a lot of guessing on my part with the limited details that is coming out.

An innocent person and someone as famous at Tiger Woods would have let his fans know right away that he is fine and should have made this story public before the police did. The details of this car accident wasn’t released for 12 hours and this isn’t a good sign for Tiger and his golf fans. Delayed information, no public contact, attorney involved, and now a police interview scheduled for later today doesn’t sound good for Tiger Woods. It’s not common for people to drive over fire hydrants right outside their driveway and then hit a tree that would cause an impact hard enough to make you bleed.

Authorities aren’t too strict in the state of Florida when it does come to a DUI charge. Donte Stallworth got a 30 day sentence in which he did a little over two thirds of that and was released from jail for his horrific DUI accident. In Stallworth’s case, a man actually lost his life due to the NFL star wide receiver’s DUI accident. If you can drink alcohol and have an accident in which an innocent man loses his life and serve less than 30 days in jail; then you do have weak DUI penalties in the state of Florida. It isn’t fair for me to link Tiger Wood’s name with Donte Stallworth, but I do question how the police will handle this car accident that didn’t leave anyone hurt; except the driver and culprit Tiger Woods.

A DUI charge would certainly be grounds for a PGA suspension and the public cries would force sponsors to drop Tiger Woods from future promotions. Tiger has struggled with his golf game since his knee surgery recently. He was getting his stroke back, but now the drugs he got from his surgery will now be the main focus (or should be) in the Tiger Wood’s car accident.

I would suggest for people living in Florida to postpone your police interviews when you have a DUI accident or any other type of auto accident that police want an official interview. It’s not fair for people like Tiger Woods to get this special treatment and if his interview can get delayed (while probably getting clean from his prescription drugs); then other residents in the state of Florida should exercise this right also.

Do you feel Tiger Woods is innocent or guilty in his car accident? Do you think prescription drugs played a part in the Tiger Wood’s car wreck? Based on the time of the accident (2 AM) and his condition from a low impact crash; I would say Tiger has something to hide and it appears police in Florida are given him the opportunity to hide his guilt.

Send the lawyer back to his office Tiger and deal with this matter one on one with the Florida authorities. An attorney present in a simple car accident does scream guilt and the “fame” argument doesn’t work in the 21st century or at least I hope it doesn’t. If you had a simple mistake behind the wheel; then I wish you the best and sorry for the accusations. If you had drugs present in your system; then I do hope you get the same treatment the rest of us would that don’t have millions of dollars and a sweet golf stroke. Innocent or guilty, I do wish you a speedy recovery and no one should have to hurt or be left with pain.
